Our COOL school is packed of hilarious helpers. They help with the nursery, infant reading, mediating, the librarians, the computer managers, the school council, the gridclub monitors, and last but not least, the Road Safety Officers.
Helping with the nursery is a privilege. You can 'help' them and also remember those good old days (but better).
Infant Reading is where Y5s and Y6s go down to the infants at lunchtime and play educational games with them.
Mediating. Two people go and have an argument and they go to the mediators. The mediators don't sort out an argument, they help to sort out an argument.
The librarians. It's exactly what says. But the good thing is, they don't need any help from the Y6s. It's all Y5s!
The computer monitors not only take and put laptops away, they teach the younger laptop monitors (years2 to 5) the rules of laptop moniting.
The gridclub monitors supervise juniors at lunchtime when they use superclubsplus.
The road safety officers try to persuade pupils to be safe on the roads and run fun competitions, too.
Without these people in our school, it wouldn't be as good as it is now.
