Dear Parents,
RE: New advice from the Department for Education.
Anyone with a ‘new continuous’ cough or high temperature is now advised to self-isolate for 7 days.
For more information please follow the governments guidance at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public
There is currently no cause for concern at school but I will continue to keep you informed about any developments. I have met with the senior leadership team in school this morning and I will be writing to you all later today about schools further response to this situation – please don’t be alarmed – I just want to update you on all the preparations we have in place. Whilst I really understand nervousness about the virus, at this moment in time, DfE guidance is that there is no reason for children to self-isolate themselves unless they have been in contact with a person tested positive or they demonstrate a new continuous cough or high temperature, so hope to see everyone in school.
Kind regards
Mrs Walmsley
